My mom always told me:
“الصاحب ساحب”
Back then, I thought it was just another saying.
But is it really true???
I was watching a video recently and one line hit me hard:
“If you’re not surrounded by innovative people, you won’t make it.”
And it made me realize…
Your circle shapes you.
If your friends are lazy or stuck in their comfort zone, you’ll get dragged down.
If your friends are ambitious and creative, you’ll rise with them.
Your environment either limits you or elevates you.
Maybe my mom was right all along.
Your friends don’t just tell who you are. They tell who you’re becoming.
And the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, summed this up by saying:
“المرء على دين خليله فلينظر أحدكم من يخالل”
