I used to clean Airbnbs, work as a “Talabat” driver, babysit…
Back then, I thought none of it belonged on my CV.
But looking back now, those “random jobs” included:
- Selling Popsockets
- Cleaning laser machines
- Cleaning Airbnbs
- Delivering groceries
- Tea boy
- Construction site
- Watching over kids during events
- And even valet for one day…
Honestly?
I’m proud of every single version of myself that showed up during those phases.
They shaped who I am today.
They taught me how to communicate, work under pressure, deal with people, stay disciplined (somewhat), and keep going even when life felt uncertain.
None of those experiences were wasted, and I think a lot of students forget that.
If you are a student saying:
“this job doesn’t suit me"
"why should I even do this?"
"I don’t want this kind of work”
Remember this:
Your story begins with the most random jobs nobody talks about.
